Jamming to~: PotC 3 on the TV beside me
- so a Japanese-American, born of Japanese parents - grows up to be a Japanese, not an American." From an article in the LA Times, beginning of February 1942. I couldn't help but think when I read that line, from the book I just finished, Manzanar, by John Armor and Peter Wright how easily in this day and age we've taken the word 'Japanese' and replaced it with 'Muslim.' . . . Kinda makes you think, eh? Right now I'm on a sort of companion book: And Justice For All by John Tateishi, written from oral histories of people from places like Manzanar, one of America's concentration camps (conveniently called 'relocation centers' so people of that time wouldn't think of them of the kind of concentration camps run by the Germans or Soviets and, thankfully, the American's didn't go to such extremes.) I found the books when I was killing time before Fuzzy's last NASA talk at the library. Very interesting, to say the least. Especially when you read first hand accounts of how America treated its citizens in a time of unchecked racism and governmental blunders that basically said that, in war, the Constitution is null and void. Looking at what's going on now its little different, except the government learned from one mistake. If you want to intern people during a 'war' make sure you do it on land not owned by the US. That way the Constitution really can't apply and anything can happen without recourse. Not sure what I'm talking about, either check out those books or this link to an article about the Yellow Peril. But, that's a different rant. Now time for a report on the craft shows. Friday was fairly busy. We almost made the space. We didn't realize we would have so much space so we had to improvise and let the person that adjoined us on one edge use part of one space to fill the gap. Even with the dolly up there one of the older crafters, with a cane, still moved the dolly which was keeping people from going between our space and the one next to us (especially where the person, I found out Saturday was from MA, didn't show, leaving four spaces behind us open) and tripping over the extension cord. Even when I put a DO NOT MOVE sign on both sides, it didn't work. When I put a chair behind the dolly he finally got the message and stopped (this was on Saturday just before the show closed.) Oh well. Saturday we sold even more and made up for the space and a bit over. I was surprised. All my Xmas candy (except a few penpens and one or two of the pretzel rods) sold out completely. So now it's back to candy making. Considering I thought we had four weeks and found out we had only two it means basically nothing but candy making. Which also means I'll probably burn out by the time the other show comes along. I will, at least, have about a month and a half to get the Valentine candy done and, if I can, the St. Patrick's candy too. Easter if I'm REALLY enterprising. Where I open, and made one batch (6 pieces) of gingerbread men, after getting a VERY late start, it's time for bed >.< Of course, it didn't help that I started watching propaganda films from the US about the Japanese and the idiots who tried to voice their opinions on it (some were really sane and rational, others . . .well, it's obvious why racism is alive and well today.)

Jamming to~: Incredibles on the TV to my right
I decided to log in my NaNo word count. The site has me at 76842. A miracle considering the torture the poor fic has gone though let alone all the other stuffage I've been doing. Oh, and Happy Turkey Day for those who celebrate it. Don't eat too much >.> Van is packed except for the candy (of which there are more candy tubs than non candy tubs so that means extra early wake up time so we can leave as close to 7-7:30 as we can get.) I tried making more but, meh, decided not to. Instead I played WoW and, where there was a server restart while I was working with old, low quests and Lianna I hopped onto Uazuri before the restart, switched the scorpid for the thunderhawk, went to find Humar and, with 45 seconds until server restart, I now have a nice black lion to go with my white lion (which means I no longer have the thunderhawk I had tamed a couple days ago.) But, I still have two more spaces (when I get the gold) so I can still get it back if I want. Other than that, not much. Had a good dinner, ish semi watching Incredibles (that everyone else is watching) and getting last minute stuffage done before heading to bed so I can be up and awake for tomorrow. No posts (far as I know) until Saturday at the earliest, Sunday more likely, if any time soon.

Jamming to~: PotC coming from the TV to my right
I really need a ded icon. But anyway. Work's been the same. Same old stress. Same old problems. I did learn Monday that the store manager has had at least 35 written complaints from the customers (I assume the regulars) and the area overseer (a former store manager who will not take no for an answer and won't back down from anything (well, there are exceptions but in this case he won't back down) has been there almost 24/7 while the store manager is there. Why? Because of her. Because FINALLY someone's gotten a brain that she's destroyed our store like she did her last one and that no one likes her, workers or customers and that she is the root of all of our problems (yes, the corporation does cause a lot of unneeded stress thanks to their stupid 'oh, this looks good on paper, we'll put it into action, not taking into consideration human variables'.) So maybe, just maybe, she'll be going. Not soon. Definitely not before the end of the year (unless a REAL miracle happens.) But soon. He's really sticking it to her about that and every little thing she does wrong. I can't help but smile at the fact he's now on her case and things will finally get done. However, in the meantime, she's gotten it into her head that we need to lock the walk in and that a manager needs to be there at all times when a worker gets stock from it. Padlock went on today (or yesterday, not sure since it's been a while since I had to get into either the walk in or freezer) and it was a real inconvenience. I suppose the original reason was because the closers were being too obvious about heisting product (trust me, it happened when I closed and I know it's only gotten worse) but they've got the lock/supervision on 24/7 which, as the maintenance person said, is really a slap in the face for the honest day workers (not that all the closers are bad, just they've ruined the reputation of all of us.) They had a manager's meeting today and the opening manager had me take and do a complete freezer pull but keep it in the freezer, without supervision. Took me an hour (give or take) with a few exceptions of where they had to keep getting me (and good thing because I was frozen to the bone by the time I got done) for manager stuff because the other two with manager privileges had no idea what to do >.< Ah well. I never bothered to lock the walk in until I was done. I didn't care. I trust the day workers. Besides work still draining me I've been, in the past two weeks, working madly on candy for the craft shows. I haven't made a full count but I'd say, judging by the packs of wrappers I've gone through, I've made at least 500 pieces of chocolate/vanilla (and some pure vanilla) candies (the kind on popsicle sticks) candy @.@ Oh, and two 'candy houses' that are a whopping 4oz of pure chocolate (with vanilla (aka white chocolate) 'decorations'). It's a good thing I really don't like eating candy like that or I'd eat me right out of any profit. I did take a break today and played WoW. Worked on a few lowbie quests Lianna still had. Cheated and bought two expert cookbooks and sent them to Uazuri and Nyokamchomo so they can go up. Didn't bother with a book for Mchangaumeme considering he's still at 13. I had done some work with Uazuri and stabled both Sifuri (the white lion Eccheyake (I think is how it's spelled)) and Nyeusikifo (the scorpid Sarkoth) to tame a generic thunderhawk (named Hewakutembea.) I was looking for the red serpent down around Camp T (I forget the name now) but since I didn't see him I figured I'd go for a generic one. I haven't tamed a thunderhawk before. I figure I might trade it in when she gets higher for the red serpent that's part of the quest out of Thousand Needles (I want to say his name is Aarakoka, but don't hold me to it.) They say try different combinations and I figure I'll try different pets, considering I have two more slots open. Not sure what I'll have for her other two or if I'll drop the scorpid or windserpent. I know when she gets high enough with enough points I want to tame one of the dino's down in Un'Goro. Though, by the time she gets that high I might change my mind >shrugs< Right now it's late. I'm tired. Brain has shut off and I'm going to go in and go crash. Don't expect much of an update until sometime next week. I won't be online Friday or Saturday (at least until late Saturday) where Friday we have the first of two craft shows, from when we get there (hopefully close to 7am) until the mall closes at 9pm and then we go right back Saturday around 8ish and do it all over again, except this time at 5 we get to pack up and head home. I'll probably be brain dead Saturday night and Sunday so don't expect me to be too coherent if you see me online. There's probably more I want to add but, meh, I think the bed is calling me more . . .

Jamming to~: Evanescence - Eternal
Well, I think it's time for an update. Work sucks, as usual. Especially now that it's getting cold. This morning the temp was a balmy 17 with a windchill of 10 . . . It was windy and bitter cold all day. So what do they decide? I was going to work cash. I'm still cold >.< Yesterday, while working on candy, we managed to blow the micro (nice sparks, I heard) so today I went out and bought a replacement. So it's back to candy making again. Work was slow and I got cut an hour, which was ok. If it hadn't been for some mix ups with Tiki and Fuzzy. So I lost some time but managed to get other stuff done during the wait so all was ok. Then I came to this in the NaNo Comm on LJ that, as was said was enough to bring tears to your eyes. If you don't want to read the LJ post you can go (if you're part of NaNo and maybe you can access it if you're not, not sure on that) to the direct linkage (it's on the Kansas City, MO forums.) Because it was spread to the ML forums as well as to LJ, people from around the globe, literally, have commented. Link to the KC, MO forums. I just realized, the NaNo LJ post is locked >.< If you're curious, comment and I'll fill you in on it. So yeah. The micro's ready and it's time to make candy ^^ I hope. If not then I expect to hear a big boom from the kitchen . . .

Jamming to~: WoW coming from two comps
First a ( meme )Besides a long and somewhat stressful work day I managed to get a few more chocolate lobsters done. I also managed to get rearranged and uploaded the following collections on Flickr from ImageShack. Crafts, Weather, Misc. Which includes all my cosplay construction pics. And the long overdue 2007 American Folk Festival pics. This time when I uploaded the pics for the candyman I blotted out the faces of the people who were watching. I never really thought about it until I saw some cosplay pics from Japan and they had blurred the faces. I got to thinking that it might be wise to do that, especially for the kids, you know, just in case someone came back because I had put their pic innocently online. Most hasn't been tagged and, when it comes to most of the pics, details are lost and I'm too lazy to look the info up (except the festival where I lacked facts and even had to look up the monastery the monks came from.) Past that, not much. Getting ready for the big wind and rain event tomorrow and hoping I can get in at least a few hours of the write-in before the weather gets too bad. I'll post tomorrow but right now I should be candymaking and not procrastinating on the comp.

Heisted from virago </form> A 56 human pally, with buffs galore, found out that no matter how many judgments, consecrations, and holy spells you toss around, you will get your ass handed to you on a glorious silver platter by a 63 feral Tauren druid in cat form with her own buffs and mangling like crazy. Shoulda used feral fire on him just for insult. He spit on me as he hearthed, putting up a shield so I couldn't kill him again. I did get +4 honor for him ^^ A pair of nelf druids found out they're no match for even a lower Tauren hunter. They both ran when they realized I was hot on their heels ^^ Gotta love it. One tried to outrun me on his saber, switched to cat form and tried to use dash and failed to outrun my Great White Kodo. I mean, even his cheetah form has only 40% speed and my kodo has 100% speed. I had to keep stopping so I wouldn't pass him. Eventually his flag wore off so I headed back to where they seemed to be attacking again. Crossroads (as usual.) Now to see if anyone else tries to pull something funny in Crossroads before I head out to spam more Winterfall to get exalted with Timbermaw. In other news. Today I found out a half hour after eating lunch that apparently my rice cakes (made in China, by the way, the package written all in Chinese with a label in English slapped on the back) had buckwheat in them (at least the one I had today) because I broke out in a rash like you wouldn't believe and by body became so hot I thought I was going to combust. Even the workers asked if I was ok because my face was so red. I told them I was fine and didn't need to go home so not to worry, I'd just itch and burn up on them. Work was ok, so that was good. Yesterday it was stressful even before I got there. The lifer was ready to kill the navy brat we hired off the street to be a manager because of his military attitude. Another long time worker accidentally flushed her keys down the toilet on break. Everyone kept making key jokes all day, even today they were. The area coordinator has been there just about every lunch, especially when the store manager is there, to find out why we're all of a sudden at the bottom of our owner's stores when we were #1. That's why the lifer was ready to kill the navy brat was because he was defending the store manager as a sort of god and we all know the reason why our store has gone to Hell is because of her. She ruined the store she was at before and our old store manager brought it to #1 while she brought us from the top down to the bottom. No matter who made a comment that she's ruined the store, never orders enough stock and has made life miserable for us is always considered wrong. But, whatever, life goes on. And speaking of life, yesterday and today people are really getting hostile when you ask them for donations (for the hands for the Ronald McDonald house charities). The one who lost her keys said she wasn't going to ask anyone she recognized the voices nor between certain times where she knows they're the regulars and she doesn't want to anger them even more. I agreed. The store manager is pissed that we're not selling hands left and right but too bad, the economy sucks, no one has any spare money (at least not that they want to donate.) She wants 1600 hands in 10 days. All I can say is good luck.

Just had to get this off my chest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HpTBF6EfxY( Now a mini rant. )Ah, feels good to rant (considering I'm typing this before work and will finish updating the rest of my journal when I get home.) Jamming to~: Queen - I Want It All
Heisted from both atrypical and digi148 on LJ. ( Color test. )Not really sure what to say about that. In other news, it snowed today. Not much but enough to make me really want to say I hate cold, cold sucks >.< I also managed to get at least 3/4 of my coins sorted and put away in the holders. I have just about 1/4 left to sort and put in the holders (and find my third volume of pennies that I just had and set aside so I could put away the coins I had for the first two and now vol 3's gone awol . . . I read that our GameStop is going to be open midnight for the release of Wrath. I still haven't preordered it and I probably will (unless I see it instore) but not before it comes out. I won't have a 70 by then (especially if they're offline like they are right now) so it won't hurt to wait. Gas is down to almost $2.30 so $40 gave me just about a half of a tank's worth. Not too shabby considering I was down to just under 1/8th of a tank and it's supposed to get down into the upper 20's the next few nights. I had them put a dry gas in as well so now I have just about 3/4 of a tank. I'll take after I get my money in this Friday and finish topping the van off. Then I'll try to remember and keep her topped off every Friday where it'll only get colder from here on out . . . last I checked the temp was 35 and felt like 30 >shudders< In random and generic news I was doing some random scanning of the net for random things and decided to look up some Rockman cosplay. I found a link to a site that sells costumes and under the Miscellaneous section they, lo and behold, have a costume for Zero. So, for a mere $310 you too can look like this Not too bad. Helmet could use a bit of work but overall, not too shabby. And they even go mens small to 5XL. Not that I'd buy it. I'm the kind that would rather make it than buy it. And speaking of my costumes no work until after Nov, at the earliest, not until after the Dec craft show mid month at the planned time, not until after the new year until the latest. Considering other factors I either won't bother with Armor Armarge or I'll have to rethink everything (and buy other mats for it.) I might not have the room in the van to take down such a big and complicated costume as I have it mentally designed now. So we'll have to see about that. But not now. Right now I'm starting to get a bit tired. Semi long day tomorrow, 8-3:30. Hopefully now that things have calmed down I can get to candy making. I wanted to fill a 27/28 quart tub full of candy pizza by weeks end as well as fill the shoebox sized tubs I have with candy roses considering my other ones have sold out now and those are my best sellers. As for NaNo, that's on hold until this Sat/Sun and the write ins. I can bang out 12k a day if I sit there for about 8 hours and do nothing but type, so I can conceivably get 24k in both days and get caught up. Whether or not I can remains to be seen. If so then I'm in shape to make 50k without worrying with craft shows and the like.

Can I haz a bed? @ 06:36 pm
Ish Currently~: drained
Starting from today and working backwards to the best of my ability. Today - Work was semi slow but still stressful. Mostly due to managers putting undue stress, as usual, on the workers. That and I was dead tired on my feet for a glorious open and 9 hour shift. I actually opened better than when I'm awake, which was a bonus. I was earlier and punched in early, which was a bonus. Lunch was faster, which was a bonus. So when I got home I was so tired (and no, I didn't lay down because I knew if I did I'd throw my sleeping pattern off for the rest of the week)I fell asleep while trying to play WoW (after eating lunch.) I decided to surf LJ and post, considering I was too tired to actually write for NaNo so I closed out WoW. At work we started the hands for the RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities) which means asking people if they want to donate a dollar. I predicted when I learned a while back this was going to happen that people would not be receptive and, probably, hostile. And guess what, they were. But, that's the way the world's going, especially America. I had someone argue they gave me a quarter even though I held up the nickle they had given me and though they acknowledged it was a nickle they still demanded that they had given me a quarter. I just told them to forget about it and gave them the change they wanted. I took a quarter someone had left behind in place of their nickle. I heard the lady (if you could call her that) say as she drove off that she wanted to shove the quarter she was trying to give me up my ass. Just gotta love retards like that . . . Yesterday - And the reason why I was so dead tired today. We had the craft show at the Elks lodge which didn't end until 5. Knowing I had to eat before a certain time to let it settle I decided to have six hotdogs (yes, 6) and after eating 5 I decided enough was enough. People because of the weather and lack of customers (it is kinda out of the way, even though they advertised it) bailed so I ended up packing up the crafts and van (with help from Tiki) right after eating. Needless to say I had massive indigestion and so sat up to compensate for it. I woke about every hour and felt rotten. So yeah, I didn't get much sleep. Yesterday was interesting as the sky turned dark, one lady said that the night before she had heard thunder and seen lightning. I was like oO and everyone was like OO when all of a sudden it started to crack thunder, pour like crazy and all Hell broke loose. It didn't last long, which was a relief. Once I could I headed home because Fuzzy called to let me know he was awake so I could go get him dressed and out of bed and checked the Weather Channel online to see the storm had formed on the edge of town, blossomed into a monster over town and faded out once it left town. Talk about unusual November weather for here . . . And we sold less than our space. Saturday - Which was kinda made up at the regular craft show at the mall where we made just over our space. We made it easier on ourselves by just packing the van up and leaving it for Sunday and Sunday packing it up and leaving it for today. The show went good. Not as busy as it should have been but busier than last month. I predict the double day show right after Thanksgiving on Black Friday/Saturday will be slower than normal (and I've signed up for four spaces, which means a total of just about one work check for that show . . .) The one in December which is a Sat/Sun show probably will be slower than normal (gee, look at the economy, I wonder why /sarcasm) and I plan on taking the same four spaces again. The guy who runs the craft show said he didn't know with the economy and the way crafters except the dedicated ones had bailed on him already if he could keep it going next year or not. I'm still planning on it which is why as long as the weather stays good enough I plan on, once I have my molds, casting plaster and making up tons of candy. As for work last week it was the typical stress, stress and more stress followed by bitchy people, ect, ect, ect., Basically life as usual. Other than that, not much. Just plugging along. Tomorrow I should be more rested and have more energy and can get to candy making or, at the least, get some more writing in. I'm falling further and further behind (at least I'll have this Sat and Sun for the Write-In so I should get a lot of good writing in.

More free time @ 07:14 am
Well, considering I had some time before the craft show set up I decided to tweak my LJ layout (namely to remove Gaia and Neopets considering I rarely go there now and to put WoW as my current (and basically only obsession) as well as to update this years SF and NaNo icons) and copy it over to IJ (which still gives me a 404.) So I guess that'll have to wait. I had one heck of a fight with ImageShack to get the icons to display, but I did. I decided to move all pics out of ImageShack but the singular pics (like Folk Festival foodage, random single shots from parades I was in, hate note, ect) I'd leave there, including icons where such stuffage (icons, web badges, banners, ect) aren't allowed on Flickr. So, while moving over the 2007 AFF pics . . . about half way through . . . ImageShack decided I had pics left for the Folk Festival, the tags even said I had pics. But it refused to display any saying I had none. So I've lost about half of my pics (at least so far. Refreshing doesn't clear it up so I'll try later.)
Bigger post later considering it's about time to get dressed and head out to get set up for the craft show. Going to be interesting. Tiki gets to stay at the show alone while taking care of an 11-year-old with ADHD and autism while I go back home to get Fuzzy dressed so he can be at the Star Trek meeting (all three of us belong to the local club . . .for as long as it exists) which, incidentally, will be held at my place. Then, about 1ish I get to run back to the craft show to spell Tiki, even if the meeting's going on, so I can take the kid to get food and then take him back to Tiki to watch over before going BACK home to wait until about 4ish when I'll head back over to help her with pack up at 5 @.@
Gonna be a long and confusing day. Considering I have no real interest in the meeting I plan on either going back to mapping on WoW (I did a lot of achievement mapping last night) or trying to get ImageShack to give me my pics. Once I have them all resaved (I have the original huge pics on disk . . . only Fuzzy, I think, has the disk and who knows where he put it so these will be shrunk to ImageShack's size) and some edited (I never really thought about blanking out faces at the Festival until this year) I'll reupload them. I'll hop on the entry I had for the 2007 AFF and get notes, names, ect back in, Flickr organized and will relink the new set. This includes betta pics (fish in general now that I have more than bettas,) cats/bunnies and misc animals, ect as well as nature/weather pics and probably one for crafts, both pics from the different shows showing what we had/layout/ect as well as my in progress pics of candy waiting to warm up or bowls of half mixed flavors to show the nice, swirly patterns.
Well, time to head out. Wish me luck. I'll either post tonight or at some date in the future considering I want to unwind before tomorrow's craft show that's not a normal craft show (meaning where we always go because that's today and the double day show isn't until Black Friday) but to benefit kids with cancer and held at the Elks Lodge where we have our work Christmas Party. Tomorrow will be basically get up, go to the show, maybe come back here after set up to get Fuzzy and bring him over once he's up, pack up at the craft show and head home, let Tiki unpack what little we're taking and jump right in bed where I open on Monday . . .
Somehow I feel this is going to be a long, long weekend . . .
Oh, and work is the same. Stressful only because they make the stress and still long and hard. My foot and hips still ache, my knee hurts on and off (the one a full grown buck goat hit years ago) and my sciatics/lower back like going out at times. Falling apart, I am. Not something I like. Oh, that and my neuroalgia's been acting up bad, especially at work. Yesterday I was ready to either throw something or break down and cry it hurt so much. And doing cash while having neuroalgia that bad isn't easy. Nope. Not at all.

I'll post. Namely because if you work an open (4am-1pm) shift then the next day go in for a 10am - 5pm shift your body says bed time early and get up early. So, with about 2 hours to kill before breakfast (I have a set routine in the morning. Get up two hours before I have to punch in so I have a half hour to veg and get awake, half hour to get foodage ready and eat, an extra 15 minutes for anything else that might come up and 20 minutes (+/-) to get dressed (putting on two ankle supports takes time when the straps fail to coordinate) and the rest of the time, approx 15 minutes, usually less, to get to work on time) I decided to work on Timbermaw rep while everyone else was asleep. I know Tues is WoW's day of maintenance, but still, usually it's not until 8am EST . . .so when I got up this morning at 6:30, guess what? Offline. Oh well. So much for that. Guess I'll go do that when I get home from work. Well, after I get the fish tank moved around. I did get the black stand in my room for my bettas measured and it will just fit in the space where the 10 gallon tank is. So all ish good. Just gotta move this tank, get the bettas off the other stand and the stand moved and put back up. Then all tanks (three betta tanks at 2.5 and one 10 gallon tank) will be in the living room. I have just one power cord with enough power to handle all four tanks. So right now the 10 gallon has it and the bettas are without. Now that it's colder here I need to get the switch done. I do go to work for 9 tomorrow but I won't have to go to bed until 11 at the latest, so that gives me about 5 hours to do whatever tonight before be. I do want to get at least an hour of candymaking in considering we have the regular craft show this Sat. as well as an extra one on Sunday to benefit kids with cancer at the Eagles club. Not to mention NaNo. Not to mention wanting to max out rep with Timbermaw, getting three more epic mounts before Wrath comes out, and possibly finding some necrotic runes (or stones,I forget now) that don't have to come from a 70 undead so I can hopefully get the Argent Dawn tabard before WotLK comes out >.< Why does everything have to come at once in Nov.? And yes, first thing when I get home is go across the road and vote. Then it's either candy or move fish then candy. Fish'll have to get by until tomorrow when I get home to get moved back into their tank so I can cycle it at least a day (I know it's supposed to be longer, like 2 weeks but I haven't had a problem with a one day cycle.) Gah, too much stuff to get done and not enough time. Past news for October was I ran shift one day because no one else could be trusted to do it. And yeah, all hell broke loose. Next day Palin was in town speaking at a hangar. It was a cold and rainy day. I remember thinking "Palin is in town and the heavens cry." We got hit with chaos when she was done rambling by three buses of her supporters. All at once. Not a pretty sight. Work is normal, still stressful but at least it's a paying job. Not sure if I mentioned it but I did get a raise. I think I did. Other than that, work is still work. I still hurt on and off in different places. I still hate going to work. I wish I had a new job but in this economy that'd be suicidal. NaNo kick off was good. Had someone show up which was a first. Usually it's just us @.@. I am SO glad Digi made it up (and back safely) and could be there. I know all of us (meaning Tiki, Fuzzy and me) had a good time ^^ Hopefully you can make it back for Thanksgiving and can stay until at least Dec. 1 where that's our TGIO party and we do like the kick off. Sit there and hope other NaNo'ers show up to celebrate a month of chaotic writing. Speaking of writing, I decided Saturday when we made it to Borders for our first write-in that the WoW story wasn't going to work, rewriting my Voltron fic wasn't going to work, doing a short story compilation of Rockman fics wasn't going to work so I decided to go with BMFM. So my NaNo fic is the continuation of my Continuing Tales of the Biker Mice From Mars saga I had started a long, long time ago and had major writer's block on. I'm only counting what I write during NaNo and not what I had done before. So far I've finished a chapter and almost finished another one. More work than I had done in a long time. (Take into consideration the first chapter I finished was started way back in 2003 and actually FINISHED in 2008.) Maybe now I can get it done, spell check and revise the current chapters and then it can go out for beta'ing. I suspect when I'm done I'll have at least 14 chapters to it, each chapter fairly good sized. I'm not the type who thinks half a page is a chapter. So, I guess that's enough rambling for now. Seems strange posting before I go to work and not after I've come home from it. But, meh, it's done.

Well, Semagic, even after reinstalling it, decided it still doesn't want to connect to the server, either LJ's or IJ's, so it's back to manual posting (and copypasta) from LJ to IJ. In a nutshell. I took my mind off of other things with the disappearance of my backpack and lo and behold, I realized my van insurance was about to run out. Only I found the paper on the 12th and it ran out the 11th. So today I proudly went to work without any insurance. I get out early enough tomorrow I'm going to head over and see about paying the back payment and getting it reinstated. If they won't then I'll either go next door to Progressive or something like that. Today was the kind of Monday where Murphy's Law was in full effect. If it could go wrong, it did. Everything from me being late this morning to stuff going wrong at work, ect, ect, ect. But I wasn't the only one with problems so today was a general day for everyone. I've settled on my NaNo. It's going to be a deviation from what I'm used to doing. It's still going to be fan fiction but not from anything I've written to date. It's kinda using the same world as Fuzzy's NaNo. It's a world some of you are familiar with . . . Azeroth. He decided to NaNo a WoW fic and, after a muse dropped a bombshell on me . . .twice, I decided to do one too. So now I'm in the pre planning stages getting characters, a general overview of the fic and other nice info (soon to be getting the Warcraft RPG books . . . I hope.) When done (I have several generations of genealogy done for one of my two main characters already finished except for certain facts like siblings, births/deaths, life events, ect, ect, ect. Which come after I get the books.) I'll have a pretty huge mass of mats to use for the fic. Now all I need is a real plot and a guidemap past the basic ideas the muses gave me (such as my main character then dropping a bomb saying he has a twin sister >.<) before November. Here's hoping the muses return for it or I can pull something out pretty darned fast. Past that, not much else. Trying to keep up with the journals, survive work and get all the stuff together for NaNo @.@ Never a dull moment with me.

Jamming to~: WoW from Fuzzy's comp, baseball from his radio
Looks like I need to reinstall Semagic. It refuses to connect to the server. Both LJ and IJ so here goes cutting and pasting from LJ to IJ to get a post in. I haven't been posting (read yesterday but that was bout it) due to long hours and the upcoming craft show (though I didn't make the candy I was going to, I did play WoW and RP instead.) I was wrong about Friday. I was out at 3, not 5, so I wasn't going to get OT this week. Which was a relief. ( Pair of meme's behind teh cut. )Craft show was interesting. They forgot we were going to be there so they ended up putting us in a different place. Few crafters there. The economy, no doubt. However, we actually sold more in a show than normal. Especially during this time of the year. The most that sold were the knit hats. I also had four separate people ask me how I knit on the long loom so I did impromptu demonstrations. I managed to finish one wide scarf and completely do one skinny scarf with bulky yarn that came out pretty damned good. I started another scarf with the same type of yarn I finished today and I'll work on that again during the next craft show. Past that, not much. Picked up four more corys (these ones called 'panda' corys because of their black markings) and eight mollies that, I hope, will become either patched with color like some I saw in the tank, or into dalmation mollies. They were crammed into an approximate 5 gallon space with tons of other mollies and sold dirt cheap as feeder fish. I mean, who can pass up a deal of 4 for a dollar? All of the fish seem to be getting along nicely. Tomorrow I might try to get a pic of the tank and try to get better, more clearer pics of the fish. Opening manager is on vacation next week so all is good. I also don't open, which is good. But, I do have a lot of 9-5's and those are a drag. Literally. Anything past 3 just seems so damned long and intolerable I dread them as much as I do getting up at 2 in the morning to get ready to open the store. But, it does mean I can stay up later and sleep in mornings so I guess that's something.

Jamming to~: Durotar music coming from Fuzzy's comp
It's kinda funny now how open some people are. One of our transfer managers from another store openly talks about his gay relationship. Yesterday (which I forgot because of everything that happened) he ended up talking to me while I was counting drawers and he was taking care of the banking about his boyfriend and some stuff that went on when this manager was under the weather and his boyfriend wanted to cuddle. I couldn't help but chuckle inside. A few years ago no one would have dared say boo about not being straight. Now it's common knowledge that we have gay/lesbian and bi workers. Also yesterday the store manager (you know, the one they sent over because our other store manager was such a failure) was sorta complaining (for her, it was a complaint sugar coated) about how we were behind her old store (where our previous manager went) in their silly little meal counts. Funniest thing is, her store was toward the bottom of the list until she came here. Now her store is at the top of the list. Our store used to be at the top of the list now it's toward the bottom. And they STILL believe our previous manager was a failure. . . I wonder what colored glasses THEY'RE looking through to see facts so skewed it isn't funny . . . In other news. Banking is all settled around. Got a new account and a new card so that's good to go. Just gotta take tomorrow and switch the new numbers over for WoW and McAfee so they'll automatically renew. I don't feel so bad about what happened and like a whole load's been taken off of me. I still feel bad about being so scattered, which I never am, at least like that, and the fact that someone has the work disk and paper that went with it, but not as bad as I was yesterday. Sorta like I can move on now and put it behind me. Work was work. Kinda stressful because of the opening manager (and now we know why I quit opening for so long . . .) But, good news was the store manager seemed concerned I hadn't found my backpack yet, which is strange for her. She also said that, even though she hadn't written out my review she could tell me that I made a 30 cent raise. So now I make a dime more at work than I do on my PCA check. She said it'd either be on this check (last week's near 40 hour week) or on this check (which will either be close to 40 or over.) So I should have one, good check coming in. Other than that, not much. Unwound with WoW (Lianna) and farming for the Darkmoon Faire. I didn't realize the ticket give out was so poor (at least for the time I spent farming.) Fishing is almost up to 300. I left off at 286, which was up from the 250 I had stopped at yesterday evening. But, I have some good fish for later when I get the recipes for them. I still need to find more to get up to 300 in cooking. Then, all skills will be maxed out until I head to the Outlands. I still want to try to get Lianna up to 60 by the time Wrath comes out (taking into consideration NaNo). And speaking of NaNo, tomorrow I need to get into the site and put up a greeting message for Bangor Region and see about getting some of the other's in the Greater Bangor Area into joining that one as well. Not that the posts would be much different than the general Maine one since we all basically are used to the (as of the past) only forum group for Maine. I still want to know why they broke Maine up when we don't have the people participating. Not like other areas. But, I guess they have their reason(s). I think I'm coming down with an allergy cold. Not sure but I feel crappy at times.Today was cold with a good blast of cold air from the overhead vent on cash so I was pretty darned cold even with my sweatshirt on. I'd go around sticking my cold hands on someone's hand or arm and saying something to the effect of 'cold, isn't it?'. Especially if they didn't believe me. My neuroalgia is still acting up (and causing migraines sometimes). At least my foot's better unless I try to kneel, run or move wrong, then it hurts. Also touching it wrong hurts. So, I suppose I might have cracked something and not realized it where it doesn't hurt all the time. So at least that's one good thing. Work isn't so painful anymore. Still stressful but not as painful. Feet still hurt in the normal way of the bottoms of my feet/heels aching after a few hours standing without much moving but that place on my foot isn't as bad.

I wondered when I'd get to use that icon. I guess I found a reason to now . . . Well, work started out poor with the opening manager not only being crabby but the filter/grill person as well. So front wasn't opened like it normally would be. Then things smoothed out, which was good. Then it all fell apart. I was so distracted by too many things on my mind and stuff that I never realized I hadn't put my backpack in the van before driving off. About 50 minutes later I realized it wasn't in the van and went back to where I park. It was gone. I searched around, asked into work and Hannaford. Nothing. I called the bank because my checks were in there. I called the cops and where it wasn't taken from either myself, seen while someone was taking it, or taken from my van, it's only lost, not stolen. So remember, if you set something down, turn around and it walks off with help, you only lost it, it wasn't stolen. The only good thing (if you call it good) was where my MP3 player was in it where Axl had registered the device I could give them the serial number so if anyone tries to pawn it off, they can track it as stolen and at least find out who took it. Aside from my book Secrets of the Samurai, and a handmade cross someone had given me a long, long time ago, I don't care if they keep it. Sure, I hate having to buy another backpack, get my bank account set over and whatnot, but it was my fault for getting scattered and forgetting it. And with the transients and low-income people around, a backpack like that would be some good find. I probably will never see anything in it again (and I'm just glad I didn't have my DS in it like I sometimes carry.) Other than that, not much. Work is going to be hellishly hard if they don't change my schedule any. I work Mon, Tues, Wed 4-1, Thurs 7-4 and Friday 9-5. 44 scheduled hours, 41.5 paid hours . . . I'll be a dead ettin by the time the week ends. Oh, and this morning before work I checked mail (too upset to check it or LJ now, I'll do that tomorrow) and found out that NaNo had decided to split Maine into four regions. Downeast, Bangor, Portland to Augusta and Elsewhere. I was like oO Because we don't have that many who NaNo in Maine (and those that do are centered around Westbrook, which is sorta near Portland.) So, I have a region all to myself now. Which is strange, to say the least. Tomorrow I'll see about it more but right now I'm heading to bed. I'm too upset and drained to want to do much else.

Journal cut in select places to save the F-List from asploding with hugeness. This morning's temperature was a balmy 38* when I got up this morning at 7:30 . . . TOO cold for me >nodsnods< WAY TOO COLD >.< Tiki, in case it didn't go through the mail, here's the link to the cat's gallery on Flickr you wanted http://www.flickr.com/photos/matsomuffi/. ( Random Movie/DVD news. )One tank is up and cycling. Over this week I'll get the other tank up and cycling so by Friday I can take and get some mollys and other fish for that one, then I'll have two 10 gallon tanks with happy fish ^^ Pics will follow when the fish get moved into their new home. Not much news other than that, took breaks every so often and watched old 80's stuff on YouTube and Veoh. Found some Sei Jyuushi Bismark (Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs) eps and watched one in the raw. It all started when I was lyric searching for an old Blondie song - Heart of Glass. I ended up watching the video to see if it matched the lyrics. I then tried another one that I didn't remember her singing but the lyrics fit with a nice *coughyaoicough* fic I had thought up (the muses are active too early in the month. I just hope they don't abandon ship when NaNo starts >.<) I did start it but then some muses got into an argument about pairings and then went to their own corners and decided to stay quiet . . . So I watched Disk 6 of GoLion. Got in a bit of WoW, too. I'm trying to get Mchangaumeme through all of the Mulgore quests (he's a Troll shaman) so I can pick up the one for the lost sachel in RFC and get all the quests for it.Then, with a bit of help, I'll run RFC and finish three quests in one ^^ I also want to see if I can get Lianna up to at least 60 before November. I should. I also need to get back into candymaking for the October craft show next Saturday >.< Too much stuff, too little time. Ah well, whatever.

Jamming to~: WoW on Fuzzy's comp
As promised, here's the cast list from Golion: Names in () are the English names/English VA (Keith) Akira Kogane - Kazuhiko Inoue (Neil Ross) (Lance) Isamu Kurogane - Yuu Mizushima (Michael Bell) (Hunk) Tsuyoshi Seidou - Tessho Genda (Lenny Weinrib) (Pidge) Hiroshi Suzuishi - Masako Nozawa (Neil Ross) (Allura) Princess Fala - Rumiko Ukai (B.J. Ward) (Zarkon) Emperor Daibazaal - Kousei Tomita (Lotor) Prince Sincline - Akira Kamiya (Lenny Weinrib) (Haggar) Honerva - Masako Nozawa (B.J. Ward) (?) Gobra - Minoru Inaba (?) (Corran) Raible - Yuji Fujishiro (Nanny) Hys - Kazuyo Aoki (B.J. Ward) I forget now exactly who did Zarkon and Corran's voices. That's how long it's been since I really paid attention to it (I didn't really watch the eps where the Lions wasn't my favorite of the two Voltron series, but I did watch the special features. Well, all but the rapper talking about Voltron, I couldn't understand a word he said so I gave up on it.) I almost want to say that Peter Cullen did Zarkon's voice (of course, he was the voice behind Optimus Prime.) Tessho Genda sounds familiar. Not sure where I've heard his name before and the voice really doesn't do much. Kousei Tomita also sounds familiar(he also was the narrator.) Maybe someone on my list with more familiarity with seiyuu can tell me. I could look it up but, meh, I'm too lazy. (Note - The above was done on 10/1 where, ironically enough, there was only one ep after the one I mentioned in the last post) on the DVD so, once the credits rolled I paused it to get the seiyuu list. The rest of the post is done as of the date of posting.) I had forgotten to mention that a bit ago a regular customer who had given me (and a few others) some tomatoes from his garden, gave painted pumpkins to one girl in DT and me one day and the next day gave a pumpkin, two different times, to two others (one had told me to tell him that she wanted one.) Now all that's left is one more in grill who wanted a pumpkin. I have mine inside, setting on the stand where the fish tank will go. That is, once I move that stand and get the other one up for the fish. I hope to get enough of a space to have both the first tank and the current tank cycling (the current fish in a spare tank for overnight wait) so that I'll have two tanks ready, one with my current fish and, if I want, I can pick up a few other fish and get both tanks going at the same time ^^ That is, if I get enterprising enough to want to clean two tanks @.@ Past customers being really stupid, a freak (and very quick) thunderstorm going through, not much else has happened. I've been exhausted as of late so I'm going to try to get to bed a bit earlier and hope that helps. My foot hasn't hurt as bad, either, the past two days, which is a relief. Even at night, when I have to get up, my foot doesn't hurt as bad. Only when I try to use it in certain ways that it hurts. And where Fuzzy's talk wasn't until next week I hopped on WoW and now Lianna's a 59. Tomorrow I'll be working on fish tanks and probably no WoW. Saturday we get to care for a former worker's child (or two, not sure yet) while the parents work. So no group WoW Saturday. I probably will either do some of the low level quests I have or see if I can stealth in to a place where (even though we have quests in it, I have a specific druid quest (and a second druid quest I picked up tonight) ) I might be able to sneak around elites and get the putrid vine I need. Not sure. I might just plunk in Disk 6 of Golion and watch that. I might see about translating. I might see about something else. Won't know until it happens. Right now it's time for me to crash. I'll check mail/LJ tomorrow.

Jamming to~: Baseball coming from Fuzzy's radio
Well, while browsing my link list of Rockman fan art I found out that the majority of the sites no longer exist, which is a shame. I was surprised that Hush Hush (kanada.web2.jp/hush/index.shtml) came up as a 404 so I suspect Kaneda might have changed web addresses. They might have taken their site down, who knows? I was also surprised that I got a forbidden access message to Complex Town (a good place for Axl/Lumine art.) Upon Yahoo searching I found the address for Complex Town (complex.ivyro.net) now leads to a Korean site that, if you go to specific pages, sorta gives you something. But it's definitely not the same site I remember . . . That's why I'm now making many folders to save the artwork (each folder with the web address so I know where I got it from) just in case the site goes down, moves or decides to block non .jp addresses. Just wished I had saved their artwork before losing access to the sites. (Yes, I know they have warnings posted all over not to take their work in any way/shape/form, but if I'm saving it JUST so I can look at it again, in case they pull their work for whatever reason, and not have to worry about losing out on it what's the harm in that? It's not like I'm distributing it.) In other news. Work today sucked only because the regional supervisor (not the main one, the one under him, someone we're all familiar with because she used to be an integral part of the upper management until she was promoted to a higher position) was going to be there and the opening manager, as usual, lost control and made life hell. None of us are really worried when the regional supervisor shows up. She's one of us. She's not afraid to jump into any position and when she correct something she explains why, not just orders us around. She understands things and takes them in stride. But, that's just the way it goes. That and we were busy. A lot busier than normal. And also we had another bus, like yesterday. But, they did tell us they were coming and when so at least we were prepared. I ended up doing cash all of my shift (which is fine, I love cash.) Though apparently last night cashless went down and they ended up killing the main register down on cash. When I came to work there was a (sort of) new register as well as still no cashless. So, this is how I ended up greeting customers. "Hi, just to let you know we can only accept cash in drive thru, though we are taking cards inside." It was kind of a mixed bag with about a third of the customers accepting it, a third grumbling and a third getting really nasty about it. That and they decided to raise prices on a few items. When I found out that some prices had gone up, and a customer asked me why, I just said I didn't know. Though I have a feeling that (and yes, in a way gas prices have something to do with it maybe on one end) the real reason is where the boss has to give out raises and needs to make up the difference by raising prices on select items. Supposedly they do crew reviews/raises in September, but I heard last week from the store manager that she has the reviews ready but she couldn't give them out where she hadn't heard from the boss about what he's going to approve for raises. I also realized I was scheduled for overtime this week. 42.45 hours of work scheduled, after breaks that leaves me with 40.15. I only figured it out because I knew I had a 9 hour day on Monday and today and tomorrow's an 8 hr 45 minute day (yeah, 45 minutes) and I had yesterday and Friday 8 hour days. Two and three weeks ago I had three 9 hour days and a 7 and a 6 one week and a 7 and an 8 the other giving me just a hair under 40 hours. I've noticed that since I came back from vacation the store manager has kept me nearly at 40 hours, give or take a few minutes, whereas the one week she went on vacation and someone else did the schedule (who used to do it before the store manager took over) gave me about 37 hours. Not that I mind the extra 3 hours, but it leaves my feet dead by the time I get home and little energy. That's why, even though I bought a second 10 gallon tank and the stuff to go in it, along with a better stand for it, I haven't cleaned it and put it up to cycle before shifting my fish over to the new one (and possibly upgrading one of my Betta's to a 10 gallon co-tank, depending on if he can get a long with neons, fancy guppies and corys.) If all goes well then I'll get the other tank cleaned out, re set up, get a better filter system and then cycle it and buy other fish to put in it, like more corys to help keep the bottom cleaner as well as maybe dalmation mollys or some other peaceable, grouping fish that would tolerate and be tolerate by another Betta so I could have two upgraded to larger tanks. But, that won't be for a while. I'll probably set the tank up Friday after work where I'll have the weekend to relax and then move the fish over (Betta first, corys next and guppies/neons last. If the Betta decides he doesn't like being in a communal tank I'll just fish him out and plunk him back in his old tank. So what am I doing? Well, after finding out that the only way to get the Brewfest ram mount was to go into an instance even Lianna couldn't survive in (I have gotten her almost up to 59 ^^) and hope the boss drops it (it's a rare drop) I decided not to put a lot more effort into Brewfest than I have. Maybe Friday I'll do the dailys to get enough tokens to get the Brewfest dress for Lianna, but that's about it. And speaking of coincidence. As I typed that I heard Brewfest, Dwarf style, from Fuzzy's comp . . . oi. Anyway, I've been watching Golion. I did buy the second disk when it FINALLY arrived at Best Buy. Yesterday I watched the whole of Disk 4 and I've paused Disk 5 to type this up. Mostly because of something in one of the episodes. The one where the (and I could use the Japanese terms but I think anyone who remembers Voltron would be more familiar with those terms so I'll stick to those) robeast created the fire clouds that dried Arus up, causing Blue Lion to be grounded without water and where Alfor explained the power sources of the lions. Well, in the Japanese version they actually mentioned how much horsepower each lion (but Blue but considering Red and Green have the same I assumed Blue would have the same as Yellow) and for Golion combined. Red/Green - 800,000 horsepower, Yellow/Blue - 1,200,000 horsepower, Black - 2,000,000 horsepower and Golion (Voltron) - 6,000,000 horsepower. Of course, they mentioned the elements, fire for Red, wind for Green, water for Blue, earth for Yellow and lightning for Black. Unlike usual when they talk about 'energy' they actually said 'lightning (kaminari)' when talking about Black Lion. Though, the one thing that really caused me to snicker was the following. And I quote it from the subtitles. "Finally, Golion uses planet energy to achieve an output of 6,000,000 horsepower." The second I saw 'planet energy' I couldn't help but be reminded of Captain Planet >.> Don't ask, you probably don't want to know. I wish I could pull out the English version but I can't and except for finding the right ep and putting it in from the collection, I can't say what it was. But, I do know they didn't mention HP at all. I found that interesting. And everytime Sincline (Lotor) speaks, his VA (I forget his name now, it's not one I've heard) sounds a lot like Okiayu (Zero's VA). And Kogane (Keith) is by a seiyuu I've heard of before, Kazuhiko Inoue (if I spelled it wrong, sue me. They only list the seiyuu at the end of the DVD and that was last night when I was getting bleary-eyed.) If I think, when I finish the DVD, I'll list the names in the next post. Anywho. I guess that's about it. Time to get back to watching Golion and see if I can finish Disk 5 before bed. Tomorrow I won't be on much after work where Fuzzy has his NASA talk at the library and I'll need to be there. Once we get back I might hop on to check up on things but, past that, I won't be on too long where I have another 7am shift on Friday. I agreed next week to open not only Monday but Tuesday and Wednesday as well. I found out why. The last lifer (besides me) is on vacation and she had agreed to open Tuesdays to help out. The weekend is for WoW where I have enough time Tiki, Fuzzy and I can go instance crawling and questing without being restrained for time. I saw on the Voltron LJ community that Vol 3 of Golion will be out 11/25. That'll be the last installment. I hope once that's out they release the US Vehicle Voltron eps then the original Kikou Kantai Dairugger XV because I want to have the complete set, not just the more popular Lions. But, I do have to look forward to the release of all 52 eps next year of Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, considering when they were on the air, way back in the late 80's, the last 9 eps were cut out (though the official German release - I was surprised how much of a hit it was in Germany to spawn official Cd's of both the English music, Japanese music as well as the French and Italian opening themes oO - included every episode.) So, I still have something to look forward to from WEP's releases. I just hope they don't snub Vehicle Voltron by not releasing any of it. Oh, that and the Fleet of Doom (the hour movie) too. I have pretty much every ep on tape (and yes, they still do play) from back when it was on in the early 80's and, if I have to, I can convert them over into a digital format, but I'd rather buy them than go through that. And . . . I think that's enough rambling for now.

Jamming to~: KAT-TUN - Your side
Well, I got an email about my panel prize from the 21 Years of Megaman panel at Otakon. Emails to the contact person for Capcom (US) had failed so the person who emailed me (who was the one the prizes had been sent to from Japan) said he was going to physically call him to find out what's going on. He also apologized. I replied for him not to worry, I understood. So, I might never see my prize >shrugs< Ah well, that's life. In other news, Korean rap and Thai slow rock is . . . unique, to say the least. The Thai rock reminded me sort of like Kat-Tun, Arashi, and groups like that (but not quite with the harmonizing.) I ended up reading over an old *coughyaoicough* fic I had started way back in '04 and had stopped working on it (I ended up working here and there on it and it mutated so badly it's not funny) in '07. I'm almost tempted to pick it back up again after rereading it and tweaking it a bit (Chapter One is pure Japanese terms, Chapter Two is a combination of Japanese and American terms -.-;;) Who knows? Might get me back to writing. I think, speaking of writing, I know what I'm going to do for NaNo. I'm going to do a fan fic. Biker Mice fan fic. It'd be a change of pace and something not Rockman related. Not that any muses for them have spoken recently . . .But we'll see. It's still a long ways way. Digi, the pads will go out in the mail Thursday. I'll be over by the post office then where it's near the library and Fuzzy has a NASA talk at the library then. By the time I got done my other errands the post office had closed. If not then I'll send them out Friday where I'm out at 3. Either way, you'll get them by next week. Hope that's ok. Other than that, not much else. Work still sucks. Tensions are still high. I still hate the current store manager and her lies. I wish dared get a new job but with the way the economy and everything else is going if I leave I'll be the low man on the totem pole and thusly the first to get canned. But, if my feet get any worse I'll be forced to do something about it. Don't really know who to believe where one camp says we're headed for a Great Depression and another is saying it's not as bad as it looks if things are done right. Though I have a feeling no one really knows what the right thing is to do. My opinion is to look into what exactly caused the last Depression, compare it to what's leading us there again, look into how it was solved and see if that will fit the current state of affairs and prevent us from destroying our economy completely as well as that of the rest of the world. (Consdiering the US economy is tied to the other countries.) But, whatever. I have no control over it. Though I will keep as little in the bank as I possibly can until things straighten out. When the last Great Depression happened, when Wall Street crashed completely, panic caused people to flood the banks to withdraw their money, forcing banks to close due to lack of funds and many losing all they had if they couldn't get it out . . . just so you know what might happen if Wall Street crashes completely again and panic sets in.

( First a meme, heisted from Midnight, with minor rant. )Now for the brief news. We're battening down the hatches for Kyle. Not sure how much wind or rain we'll get so we took the precautions of taking the flower pots inside (the ones we still had out) and put them in the garage. My herbs and one pot of flowers came inside for the winter anyway. I moved my van closer to the house, just in case Kyle took off a branch or two. Originally they thought we were going to get worse than they now think, but I don't trust them. So if you don't see me tomorrow (technically today where this is late for me) it means we lost power. Already the wind is blowing at a good clip and the rain is pouring. Fuzzy and Tiki had a good time at the adaptive fair today despite a few sprinkles. Past that, not much. I did work a lot on WoW with Lianna so now I have some weed to give Mchangaumeme and some more heart of fire, essence of fire and elemental fire for Lianna to use/sell/give to my other alts or to Tiki's or Fuzzy's alts for whatever they might need. With all I did, plus the brewfest buff I managed to (while running through Un'Goro) to put myself up to about 12k away from hitting 58 (which was about half of my whole XP bar I filled and that wasn't a bad night.) Unfortunately I never did go back to Uazuri so she lost out on two of the daily brewfest quests. Reason why was I had just entered with Uazuri when the place was about half way through being attacked by the Dark Iron Dwarfs. So I took and drank up to help fend them off. Successful I claimed the 'reward' left behind, turned it in, logged out and in with Lianna to claim the same prize even though she had nothing to do with defending the kegs. Knowing that Uazuri was completely smashed and there was no way she could run a ram straight through Org or down half way to Razor Hill I decided to do those two runs with Lianna and one thing went to another when I realized I was so close to maxing my JC craft out to 300. I originally was going to Un'Goro to mine thorium to prospect for huge emeralds . . . only I decided to go collect herb drops for Mchangaumeme and then fire stuff for Lianna. I only managed to find 15 thorium ore . . . Oh well, at least it was a productive night.
